The Good Kitchen: How To Series
The food system is complicated. Getting good food shouldn’t be. At TGK, we work to make your experience on our site as easy and intuitive as possible, so that ordering our meals is as simple as cooking them.
Even so, it’s always nice to have someone show you the lay of the land. In the videos below, we walk you through our site to answer your most frequently asked questions about placing an order, managing your subscription, or canceling your plan.

1. How to Place an Order
So you’re ready to give The Good Kitchen a shot? We’re excited to crank up the oven and get cookin’ on your new lifestyle. But first, you have to tell us what to cook. Here’s how to join Team TGK:

Click "Build Box"

Choose your # of meals and the frequency. We offer weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly subscriptions. If you would like to place a one-time order, you can choose “order once”.

Pick your meals from the curated menu using the “+” to add your meals to the order

Give us your digits (and delivery address, and so on)

Skip the grocery store on your drive home and be on the lookout for a package from us!
2. How to Edit an Upcoming Order
Have plans to treat a friend or family member to a special dinner? Or maybe you’ve been tasked with schmoozing a client at a lunch meeting? You can shave a couple of meals off of your plan whenever you need to. On the flipside, if you want TGK to simplify more of your mealtimes, tack on extra breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes to make time for things that are more fulfilling than grocery shopping. Whatever your reason, we make it easy to switch up your meal plan.
- Log into your TGK account
- Click “Edit”
- Use the “+” and “-” to choose your selections
- Click “Save” and you’re ready to go!
All orders placed through an active subscription will be processed at 11:59 pm EST on Wednesday. They will then ship the following week.
3. How to Skip a Delivery
We see you’re an adventurous world traveler who will be away from your kitchen hiking the Andes next week. What’s that? You’re just going to your sleepy hometown for the holidays? Well, the Andes can wait. And so can your subscription.
- Log into your TGK account
- Click “Edit”
- Click “Skip next charge”
- A pop-up window will show up, click “Skip” again.
- All done!
But wait – remember to choose this option before our cutoff time of 11:59 pm EST Wednesday or your meals will already be in the oven, destined for your doorstep.
4. How to Cancel a Subscription
Bummer.
- Log into your TGK account
- Click “Edit”
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click “Cancel subscription”
- Select the reason for cancellation and confirm. You can choose the “other” option and provide feedback which is always greatly appreciated!
- Once you’re done, confirm the cancellation by click “Cancel my subscription”
Broken record, but...if you miss the cutoff time, you’ll get one more week of meals before your subscription is canceled.
