Summer: It’s the time to take it easy. Of course, this doesn’t mean you’re letting yourself get lax about your health (who wants to be held back by a crappy diet?). With our summer menu, staying committed won’t compromise your newfound chill.

 

This season’s menu contains shoutouts to beach barbecues and neighborhood cookouts, with plenty of international flavors to inspire last-minute travel plans. As always, each meal is loaded with the macros and vitamins you need and skips all the inflammatory, bogus stuff you don’t.

 

Here are a few dishes to kick-start the summer of high standards:

 

Jerk Chicken with Pineapple Cauliflower Rice

Our perfect summertime flavor sampler meshes the natural sweet-tart combo of pineapple and the refreshing lightness of cauliflower rice with a full-bodied, juicy jerk chicken. File it under things that make you say “ah.” 

Chicken Tikka Masala with Spiced Potatoes

Did you spend the morning running on the beach? Or just running around the office pining for sunshine? We’ve got a cure for that. Spice it up to freeze out inflammation with this warm, feel good medley of pasture-raised protein and complex carbohydrates simmered in a nutty, peppery, blend of classic Indian spices and coconut mana. 

 

Chili Colorado with Butternut Squash Mash

Just because you can’t make it out into the wilderness this weekend doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in a campfire favorite with our seriously beefed-up take on butternut squash. Grass-fed, grass-finished beef gives this nutrient-dense dish a protein boost, while crushed tomatoes, garlic, and the fruity heat of Guajillo chili transform this meal from simple good-eating to a gourmet experience.
